CAMI AND JAX x Kelly Dabbah
Kelly Dabbah is a New York based multimedia artist who is described by Harper’s Bazaar as “the rising queen of kitsch in the art world.” Born in Geneva, Dabbah studied fashion design at Parsons School of Design and worked in the fashion houses of Coco Chanel and Anna Sui. Dabbah’s maximalist style incorporates elements of nostalgia, irony, and kitsch. Her work features a fusion of custom-made mirrors to collages, aristocratic-esque armchairs, maximalist wallpaper patterns, sculptures, skateboards and surfboards that reflect the social pressures of the female experience. She has collaborated with notable brands such as Moleskin, Bala, Gelareh Mizrahi Concept Store, ArtPark Miami, Hampton Surf Company, YellowPop, and many more. Her work is also collected by multiple Grammy award-winning artists including Anderson .Paak, ThunderCat, and MixedByAli. Recently Dabbah debuted “Daddy’s Issues” at SCOPE Art Show in Miami and was selected by Art Innovation Gallery to be showcased on the largest mobile platform in Miami during Art Basel 2022. Kelly Dabbah’s next exhibition “Angel” will be displayed during Hong Kong Art Basel from March 17th-23rd on a massive LED billboard screen as a part of THE SOUND OF PIXELS. As Forbes recently said, “Kelly is having quite the career up to this point, and she is just getting started.”
